After months of interviewing, negotiating and finger crossing, I finally got it - my dream job. I'm the new International Data Management Lead at Pepsico. I'll be working closely with our offices around the world to design and implement sound data management practices inside the company's $1B technology platform. First countries on the list to visit are Egypt and Germany by end of March. Then, over the course of 2008 my plan is to visit Brazil, Mexico, China, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands. In 2009, there will be more countries but I haven't finalized those plans yet.
As someone who has only been out of the country once (Australia, honeymoon 2001) this is going to be an amazing experience! And to get the chance to work for such an amazing company is the greatest part.
